Pastor Elizabeth Polk

Pastor Elizabeth Polk, a Duke Divinity School graduate, joined the Pine Forest Church family in the Fall of 2020. She and her husband, Dean, served Ellerbe and Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Churches in North Carolina’s Richmond County from 2011 until their move to the Rosewood community of Goldsboro. Prior to that, Elizabeth served as pastor to Gibson Memorial UMC and White Oak UMC in Spring Hope (Nash County). Elizabeth’s first appointment was with Bethany UMC in Belvidere.

Elizabeth and Dean were married in 2012. After retiring from Pepperidge Farm, Dean began working at Harris Teeter in Southern Pines, NC. Elizabeth has two grown sons, Jonathan and Stephen. Jonathan and his wife Jessica live in Buxton, NC, with their daughters Madelyn and Charlotte. Stephen and his wife Andrea live in Nanaimo, British Columbia, with their son Eli.
